Sonnax kits
We cooperate with Sonnax and Hydra-Test, world-renowned manufacturers of valve body parts. ASB is on the list of Sonnax distributors.

The ASB Długołęka company operates since 1996 and specializes in valve body repairs in most transmission models.

How it works

How an automatic transmission valve body works

The valve body controls gear shifts in the transmission. If it fails, the transmission fluid will not flow correctly to the torque converter and clutch drums, so shifting gears can be incorrect.

At ASB Długołęka one of the areas we specialize in are valve bodies for automatic transmissions. Regardless of whether it is a complete rebuild or a mechatronics unit fault, we can solve your problem.

A separate issue is the transmission control unit (TCU). If it is damaged, faulty or stopped working, do not replace it: a repair with us is an alternative to expensive replacements at authorized dealers, so you can save even several hundred PLN. Instead of just repairing the module, we reach the source of the problem and use better parts so the problem does not return.

In case the module cannot be repaired, we can program a new module to match your car. We also clone the TCU, which means copying the original TCU and transferring it to a new computer.

Scope of work

Valve body and electronics in one place

Full hydraulics rebuild

Full rebuild of the valve body, from the first to the last element.

Solenoid replacement

Single solenoids where a full rebuild is not needed.

Testing solenoids

We check the valves on the Hydra-Test machine before we decide on the repair scope.

Solenoid harness replacement

Replacement of the whole harness when the damage concerns wiring, not the valves themselves.

Drilling and calibrating the block

Machining the valve body restoring the proper dimensions of channels and spools.

Valve replacement with Sonnax

Sonnax repair kits, a world-renowned manufacturer of valve body parts.

Serviced transmissions

In what transmissions we rebuild valve bodies

We specialize in valve body repairs in most transmission models. Below are example models about which we wrote separate articles based on our own repairs. We service hundreds of transmission types, so the lack of a model on the list does not determine anything.

We rebuild valve bodies among others in transmissions: DQ200 · DQ250 · DQ381 · DQ400E · DQ500 · DL382 · DL501 · VL381 · 8HP45 · 8HP70 · 8HP75 · 6HP21 · 9HP48 · 845RE · 850RE · 948TE · 65RFE · 66RFE · 8F35 · 6F35 · 6DCT250 · D7UF1 · D8LF1 · A8LF1 · A6GF1 · 724.0 · 7DT-45 · 7DT-70 · TR-80SD

Your model is not on the list? It doesn't mean we don't service it. Call +48 609 070 799 and give the fault code from diagnostics.

Honestly: a TCU error does not always mean the TCU. Sometimes the sensor, harness or transmission mechanics are to blame. That's why first test, then repair.

What we do it with

Hydra-Test

Test stand for valve bodies. It simulates pressures and flows of a working transmission, so we see the fault on a chart, and we do not guess by symptoms. The valve body returns to the car only after a positive test.

Sonnax

American components for hydraulics rebuild: spools, sleeves and repair kits removing factory weaknesses of many transmissions. A rebuilt valve body can be better than a new one.

Where to bring the module

We repair valve bodies and mechatronics units at Wrocławska 6G in Długołęka. You can come by car or bring the removed module itself.

Call before coming with the part number or transmission model. Some modules require programming after repair and it is better to determine this in advance.

You drive to the workshop via national road 98 through Psie Pole, without driving through the center of Wrocław. With smooth traffic, the drive takes: from Zakrzów about 9 minutes, from Psie Pole about 11 minutes, from Sołtysowice and Kowale about 16 minutes, from Śródmieście about 18 minutes, from the Market Square area about 23 minutes, and from Krzyki about 30 minutes. You need to add extra time during rush hours.

Send the valve body by courier, you don't have to come

Mechatronics unit repair is work at the electronics and hydraulics level, not replacing the component as a whole. There are few workshops that go down to this level, so customers come to us from the other end of the country.

You don't have to make this trip by car. We accept the module itself by courier, and after repair we send it back to the given address. The mechatronics unit is removed from the bottom of the transmission, so your mechanic will take it off on site.

This process is a daily routine in our work with workshops from all over Poland, which send us their customers' modules.

Not sure whether it is the mechatronics unit or the transmission? Describe the symptom in the form or message us on WhatsApp: +48 609 070 799.

BEFORE YOU CALL

Questions we hear most often

What is a valve body?

The automatic transmission valve body routes pressurized fluid to specific transmission circuits. If it doesn't work correctly, the hydraulic fluid doesn't flow properly to the torque converter and clutch drums, so shifting gears can be incorrect.

How do you test valve bodies?

Our team uses the Hydra-Test machine for testing valve bodies, analysis and identification of areas requiring improvement in your transmission.

I have a TCU error. Is it definitely the TCU?

Not necessarily. The TCU can incorrectly interpret transmission behavior, and hydraulic system errors are sometimes caused by a mechanical fault. In such case, the condition of the mechanical part must be verified.

What do you do when the module cannot be repaired?

We perform TCU cloning, which is a copy of the original TCU and transferring it to a new computer. We are also able to program a new module to fit your car.

What faults of the TCM computer do you repair?

Speed, pressure and temperature sensor errors, lack of communication with the TCU and ROM and EEPROM memory errors.

What parts do you work on?

We cooperate with Sonnax and Hydra-Test companies, world-renowned manufacturers of valve body parts.

Have a fault code? Call us

Give the code and symptoms, and Piotr will tell if it's the valve body, and what's next. Test before every repair.
