Transmission messages on the dashboard
We collected messages that appear to drivers on the dashboard when the TCU detects a problem with the automatic transmission. Next to each we give the brand, model and designation of the transmission it concerns. If you see such a message, book a diagnostic check.
Diagnostics from PLN 300
What a transmission message means
A message on the dashboard is a signal from the TCU, not a diagnosis. It says the system detected an irregularity and usually went into limp mode, but it does not say exactly what is damaged. The same content on the screen can mean worn clutches, a damaged mechatronics unit, aerated hydraulics or a sensor for a few dozen PLN.
Limp mode is not a maliciousness of electronics, but a transmission protection. It limits torque and the number of available gears to limit further damage. That is why the car suddenly drives slower, holds one gear or loses reverse.
Only reading the control unit memory and checking the operating parameters settles it. With us that is computer diagnostics: 300 PLN for the basic one, from 500 PLN for the extended one, with a printed result you can take with you.

We perform diagnostics at Wrocławska 6G in Długołęka, just outside the eastern border of Wrocław. We read the TCU memory and check the transmission operating parameters, and you get the result on a printout.
If the message told you to park and the car does not drive on its own, we can pick it up with a tow truck. We provide the transport cost when booking a date.
You drive to the workshop via national road 98 through Psie Pole, without driving through the center of Wrocław. With smooth traffic, the drive takes: from Zakrzów about 9 minutes, from Psie Pole about 11 minutes, from Sołtysowice and Kowale about 16 minutes, from Śródmieście about 18 minutes, from the Market Square area about 23 minutes, and from Krzyki about 30 minutes. You need to add extra time during rush hours.

Questions we hear most often
Can I drive further with a transmission message?
It depends on the message content. If it tells you to park safely, stop. If it allows further driving with limits, drive the shortest way to the service and do not overload the transmission.
Does a message always mean an expensive repair?
No. The same message is sometimes the result of a damaged sensor and worn clutches. Only diagnostics decides what we are dealing with.
I cleared the error and the message disappeared. Is the matter settled?
No. Clearing the error removes the record, not the cause. The message will return, and diagnostics will be harder, because the event history disappeared.
My message is not on the list. What now?
Call and read us its content. The list covers the most frequent messages from different models, and we repair transmissions in most passenger and commercial car brands.
How much does diagnostics cost?
Basic diagnostics costs PLN 300, and extended from PLN 500. If you decide to repair the transmission in our workshop, we include the diagnostics cost in the service price. You receive the result on a printout.
