Transmission repair warranty
We give a one-year warranty on transmissions repaired by us. Below we describe its conditions; the official wording is on the warranty card you receive when picking up the car.
Guarantor: P.H.U. Robert Doliński ASB Długołęka · Valid in Poland
What you must know before you read the whole
Three things that in practice determine whether the warranty will work. You will find the full wording in the points below.
- How long
- 12 months or 50 000 km
- What happens first counts. The warranty expires before the end of the year if the car drives over 50 000 km from the day of release.
- Condition of maintaining
- Two inspections
- After 2 000 km and after 40 000 km, together with fluid and filter change. These inspections are paid according to the rates from the day of execution and must take place with us.
- Reporting a defect
- Up to 14 days
- From the day you notice the defect. We perform the repair within 14 working days of delivering the car to the service.
1. Warranty period
The warranty period is 12 months from the date of vehicle release, with a vehicle mileage limit of 50 000 km. The warranty expires before 12 months if driving over 50 000 km from the day of vehicle release.
2. What the service is committed to
The service's duty under the warranty is to repair the transmission and, if necessary, remove and install it in the vehicle. The customer has no claim for a refund of the paid price or replacement of the item with a defect-free one when its repair is possible.
3. What the free repair covers
The free repair warranty covers a transmission which, due to defects, does not fulfill the functions specified in the vehicle manual (is not fit for use as intended). Transmission defects must result from its internal properties (these are material or assembly defects). The service is not responsible for defects caused by third parties.
4. Defect reporting deadline
The customer is obliged to notify the service of its occurrence within no more than 14 days from the date of discovering the defect.
5. Repair deadline
Warranty repair will be performed by the service within 14 working days from the date of delivery of the vehicle (transmission) by the customer to the service. If, due to the complexity of the defect, its removal requires a significant amount of work or the use of spare parts manufactured outside the Republic of Poland, the repair deadline is appropriately extended. The service will exercise due diligence so that the repair time is not extended beyond absolute necessity.
6. Scope of parts covered by the warranty
Only parts replaced by the service as part of the transmission repair are subject to warranty.
7. What the warranty does not cover on the cost side
Warranty rights do not include the customer's right to demand a refund of lost profits and incurred costs in connection with defects in the item.
8. Choice of defect removal method
The choice of the defect removal method belongs to the guarantor, who can remove the transmission defect by repairing or replacing the damaged part, or replacing the whole item. If the repair made by the guarantor was an "insignificant repair" (minor), the warranty period is extended by the duration of the repair. If the repair made by the guarantor was a "significant repair", the warranty period of replaced elements runs anew from the moment of picking up the vehicle from the service. A "significant repair" should be considered a repair of only some elements, repair of the whole item or replacement of the item with a defect-free one in a situation when the service put a significant amount of work into removing the defect and the defect prevented the use of the item according to its intended purpose.
9. What warranty protection does not cover
Warranty protection does not cover: damage resulting from improper operation; damage resulting from defects in the vehicle's electrical system; damage resulting from maintenance and repair activities performed by the user or a third party.
10. Warranty versus statutory warranty
The warranty does not exclude, limit or suspend the customer's rights arising from the statutory warranty, or the possibility of seeking compensation claims as a result of improper performance of the contract.
11. Where the repair must be performed
The warranty is given only for transmissions repaired and installed in the vehicle at the guarantor's headquarters, i.e. in P.H.U. Robert Doliński ASB Długołęka at Wrocławska 6G street in Długołęka.
12. Warranty inspections: condition for acquiring rights
The condition for the customer to acquire warranty rights is performing vehicle inspections in the guarantor's service throughout the warranty period. It is required to perform two warranty inspections after the vehicle drives 2 000 km and 40 000 km, together with fluid and filter change. This is a paid service according to the rates applicable on the day of its execution.
This page is for general information
The description above organises the warranty conditions but does not replace the document. The official warranty terms are available for inspection at the workshop, and the binding document is the warranty card you receive when picking up the car.
Questions about the warranty
Most frequent questions
What does the 12 months warranty cover?
Free repair of a transmission that has stopped working as intended due to a material or assembly defect, and its removal and installation in the vehicle, if needed. The warranty covers parts that we replaced during repair. The warranty lasts 12 months from releasing the car and expires earlier after driving 50 000 km.
What must I do for the warranty to be valid?
Perform two warranty inspections with us: after 2 000 km and after 40 000 km, each with a fluid and filter change. They are paid according to rates from the day of execution. Without them, warranty rights do not arise.
Does the warranty cover damage from the electrical system?
No. The protection does not cover damage resulting from defects in the vehicle's electrical system, improper operation or work performed by the user or a third party.
How long does a warranty repair take?
Up to 14 working days from delivering the car to the service. The deadline is extended when defect removal requires a large amount of work or parts imported from outside Poland. We try to make it not take longer than necessary.
Does the warranty take away my right to statutory warranty?
No. The warranty does not exclude, limit or suspend rights from statutory warranty or the possibility of seeking compensation claims.
Does the warranty work if someone else installs the transmission?
No. The warranty covers only transmissions repaired and installed in the vehicle at our headquarters in Długołęka.
